The Creative Muscle LIVE

As summer arrives and Chicago finally turns bright, warm and green again, it's time to ask yourself: What sort of creative person will I be this summer? How do I want my creativity to impact the world? What's it all for, anyway?

Next Thursday, you're invited to spend an evening talking face to face with the hosts of the Creative Muscle at our live podcast recording event at Low Res Studio, featuring an exciting LIVE interview with celebrity chef and entrepreneur Stephanie Izard, the Iron Chef and James Beard award-winning force of nature who has stolen the hearts (and appetites) of Chicago's West Loop with nationally-celebrated restaurants Girl & the Goat, Little Goat, and Duck Duck Goat.

Jumpstart your summer, cross paths with like-minded artists, learn from the best, and fuel up for your innovative endeavors at this vital and engaging meet-up for Chicago's creative class. To top it all off, there will be a live performance from Praytell.

But wait, there's more-- We'd like to open the evening by featuring...you! Send us a 15-second video answering the question: How Do You Want Your Creativity to Impact the World? Send us your perspective, your vision, and your hopes for your creative work. Let your voice be heard! We hope to see you there, both on the screen telling about your work, and in person as we join together as a united community of makers in the Windy City.

Movie Night :: Home Alone Double Feature

'Tis the season of cheerful vibes and holiday shennanigans! Join us on Friday, December 1st as we kick off the month with a double feature of everyone's favorite 90's Christmas movies - Home Alone & Home Alone 2. Bring your cozy blanket & snuggle up over hot chocolate, snacks & brews. And if beer's not your thing, feel free to BYO.

Doors open at 6:30, movie starts promptly at 7:15. Don't be late or you'll miss the van to the airport!

Home Alone

When bratty 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) acts out the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother (Catherine O'Hara) makes him sleep in the attic. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without Kevin, he awakens to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realizes that two con men (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallister residence, and that he alone must protect the family home.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

After snarky youth Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) loses track of his father at the airport, he mistakenly gets on a plane headed for New York City -- while the rest of the McCallisters fly to Florida. Now alone in the Big Apple, Kevin cons his way into a room at the Plaza Hotel and begins his usual antics. But when Kevin discovers that the Sticky Bandits (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) are on the loose, he struggles to stop them from robbing an elderly man's toy store just before Christmas.

The Plan:
6:30 - doors open
7:15 - Home Alone 1
9:00- 9:15 - intermission
9:15 - Home Alone 2
11:00 - leave, you filthy animals
